The Field to Fork Festival in Garrard County is all about Sustainable Local Agriculture. Its mission is to increase access to local food commodities and strengthen the skills and resources needed to sustain Kentucky’s agricultural communities and Eco-communities. Goals of the festival include 1) To involve our participants in all aspects of sustainable, organic gardening; following the disciplines of nature, producing abundant food without depleting the earth’s resources; 2) To provide local natural and organic raised produce in a centralized location, increasing the awareness of Kentucky’s agricultural diversity; 3) To engage youth and adults through food, a basic, daily need; providing a conduit for cross curricular lessons through hands-on educational workshops which demonstrates the social aspects of gardening, leadership development, decision making, team building, and community service.

Halcomb’s Knob Farm hosts Kentucky’s only Field to Fork Festival annually. This year the Festival will be held on SATURDAY, JULY 21 from 9 AM to 6 PM just six miles southwest of Berea. The Festival is family friendly, so bring your kids or grandchildren, and plan to attend our “make-it, take-it” sessions together. The Field to Fork Festival provides hands-on learning through live demonstrations; agricultural and eco-gardening workshops as well as an extensive farmers’ market venue; food vendors serving entrees, pastries, and sides fresh from our area producers; and agribusiness vendors and exhibitors who support of Kentucky’s agricultural producers and commodities.
