Video 11 0 01 10-07Extreme Hair Design isn’t really a new business in Beattyville.  Owners, Cindy and Aaron Thorpe, actually opened a shop in Lee County in 2003 near the High School.  But with the purchase of the old Stufflebean building at the West end of Beattyville on Railroad Road , they opened in town on February 14 2009, quite the Valentine’s day celebration.

Theirs is quite the romantic tale.  Together since they were 16, Cindy graduated from LCHS in 1992 and began working in Richmond as a cosmetologist.  The hour drive from Canyon Falls to Richmond was taxing and took critical time from her family.  Since Lee County is home, they decided to start their own business.    Between the two of them, and their daughter Desiree, they have started a one stop mall for all your beauty needs. Video 10 0 00 53-13

Besides all your cosmetology needs, they have an eight bed tanning salon with two beds that give “super” tans.  Robert Hays Jr, P.A-C,  visits monthly to  provide Botox and cosmetic procedure sessions.  Jennifer Broadwell gives full body massages in the shop by appointment as well.  When you’re all done up, knock on Angie Fox’s door (in the shop) and have “Foxy Photos” take a glamour shot.  If you are looking for a new purse or accent for your outfit, you can also browse through the “Mini Peddlers Mall”.
